Statistics Canada has recently reported that persons living with disabilities are overrepresented in a study of evicted tenants. To better support your clients living with disabilities, join us for this practical information session to learn more about the eviction grounds under the Residential Tenancies Act, the rights of tenants with disabilities under the Human Rights Code, the eviction process and accommodations that are required for tenants with disabilities, how to challenge eviction on disability-related grounds, and so much more.

Christelle Azzi

Christelle graduated from the University of Ottawa in the combined Juris Doctor and Political Science joint program and completed her articles in child protection and criminal law. She has practiced exclusively in the area of administrative law since her Call to the Bar. Christelle joined Community Legal Services of Ottawa as a staff lawyer in April 2022 and she currently holds the position of Tenant Duty Counsel. She is also a course instructor with the Programme de pratique du droit and teaches the housing law course at the Faculty of Law (Common Law) at the University of Ottawa.
