ABLE2’s Annual Holiday Dinner and Dance

Day and Date: Sunday, December 8, 2024

Time: Registration starts at 5:00 pm, Event Program starts at 5:30 pm and ends 9:00 pm 

Venue: Hellenic Event Centre, 1315 Prince of Wales Dr., Ottawa, On K2C 1N2

Meal Options:

We are thrilled to announce that this year, we will be serving plated meals directly to your table. Instead of a buffet, you will enjoy a main dish with sides and dessert, all brought to you by our dedicated volunteer servers. 

  • Traditional Turkey Meal (Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, vegetables, salad) 
  • Vegan Delight Meal (Vegetables in filo pastry, additional details to come) This meal is gluten and dairy free.
  • Vegetarian Delight Meal (Vegetables with feta cheese in filo pastry, additional details to come) This meal is meat free.

Gluten-free gravy and stuffing available. All meals come with dessert and light refreshments. Please let us know of any allergies upon registration.

Cost: $25/person

Accessibility: ABLE2 is committed to hosting fully accessible and inclusive events by providing accessibility services. The volunteer Accessibility Team will be able to assist with wheelchair pushing, guiding, and participating in event activities. A Whimble personal care attendant will provide more intimate support such as feeding and washroom assistance.

FASD Symposium

The FASD Symposium is Eastern Canada’s largest annual gathering of everyone connected to the FASD community. This one-day interactive, educational event, with content available in English and French, attracts 400+ people each year. Our theme for 2023 was ‘It is Time to Change". A day that will bring together advocates and researchers and creative ideas about effecting change in systems, identifying existing gaps and suggesting actions we need to take to support people (and their caregivers) in the FASD community.
